eMunge

eMunge is a perl program that I've been running for a few years, which does

• heuristic mail filtering based on headers that are associated with different mailing list systems
• subject rewriting, both to get rid of mail list tagging, as well as sourceforge bug email (which has the most useless subject format ever)
• body munging, for instance inserting diffstat into emails that have diffs in them

I'm currently refactoring my code to something more usable by others, an will be releasing under the name eMunge. It is back burner to other tasks, but you can check out the current progress here: http://serenity.dague.org/hg/emunge
